Take Care of Obesity through Yoga

Now is the time of cold winters. With it accompanies the wedding season. In this season, heavy food intake increases, people tend to skip workouts, also they face different body pains. A lot of different issues come up during this time of the year. In this post, we will see how can Yoga help in dealing with this season. 
First I would like to explain a bit about obesity. Every body requires a certain amount of mass of function properly. Less and more mass- both cause damage to the body. I would like to explain this by takin the example of a tyre. Tyre needs a certain amount of air to run properly. If it is overfilled with air, it might burst. If it is under-filled, it can puncture. Similar is the case of our body. 
Bigger question is how do we get obese?
We often eat food without giving our body time to digest it and eject the waste. What happens this way is our body starts depositing excess fat. This fat starts to cause all problems. 
To lose weight, we don’t have to starve ourselves. We can eat everything thing but we should moderate the quantity of out intake. We should be mindful of what we are eating. 
To lose weight, we should small things in our routine like going for a walk, serving food, etc. These help a lot. 
Do’s:
  1. Every morning, drink a glass of warm water.
  2. Do Yoga asanas regularly
  3. Don’t do crash dieting
  4. Eat only when you are hungry
  5. Fill your stomach in a balanced way- half stomach should be filled with solid food, quarter with water and a quarter of it should be empty.
  6. Take less stress
There are asanas which can be done while sitting on a chair. Incorporate those in your lifestyle. 
Asanas which you should do daily:
  1. Parvatasana or the Mountain Pose
  2. Yashtikasana or the Stick Pose
  3. Talasana or the Palm Tree Pose
  4. Pranayamas such as Rechaka or Shunyaka
